Pledge
I just got out of the shower where I took a mental inventory of the books that I own that I have not read. I am making a public promise that I will not buy another book until April 1, 2005. That should give me time to complete the ones waiting on my shelves.
Just posted it to keep me honest.
The shower part might not have been necessary to tell, but thats where I do my best thinking.

What a brave person! I have the same problem. But I bought a lot of 60 books on ebay yesterday. I felt ashamed and elated at the same time. I'll get over it. lol
I knew I should have deleted that comment when I saw the type-O.
Oh well, I survived going through the mall with its myriad of book stores and was next door to Barnes & Noble (my favorite) I read a couple of jackets but Bought NOTHING!! Two months and 8 days to go!!

Donna, it looks like all of your book-a-holic friends are simply enablers who are trying to help you keep your addiction alive while legalistically keeping your promise not to buy another book. LOL
Yes, John I think some have missed the point. I have PLENTY to read! I just never tire of buying new books. But thanks guys, if the well runs dry I know where to find you! LOL
