Authenticity
Authentic: Today this is what I will strive to be. I will try to be myself even when I know it might not be who someone is expecting. I will not agree with others just to make them like me. I will stand up and be counted if given the chance. I will reflect the Spirit that lives within me in all that I do. Quite a challenge; will you join me?

Lately I've really been feeling the struggle to be who I think I should be, or who I think other people expect me to be (which may be way off base anyway!). How often do I ask God who I should be? Not enough. It occurred to me after I read your post that not letting myself BE myself is actually an affront to the God who created me. HE is the potter and I am the clay. I need to quit worrying over what other people think of me and let Him and Him alone mold me. Thanks for the great challenge!
I hope it went well, Donna. Authenticity ought to be the most natural course, but if it were then more of us would be.
