Joy to the World
Do we believe that joy is optional?
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
Maybe if we are lacking joy it is a trust problem.
Happiness may be an option, but as Christians how can we not be filled with joy?

Trust seems to be the theme of the day! I've noticed that the more I trust God with all my "stuff", then the less I worry; the less I worry, the more joyful I feel. I think it IS a trust issue - I might still be sad about stuff, but I have an inner joy & peace that 'someone else' is taking care of everything.
Even when my life seems to be going down the tubes, I can - and do - have joy in His unfailing love and grace toward me. I can be totally depressed, but when worshipping, transcend into joy. Of course, I come back down into real life and it isn't so easy. In my life, in practicality, joy comes and goes.
