Third Day of Anticipation (C-8)

Matthew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you

Yesterday a friend had a request. He needed something not for himself, but for some people who were in need. People that he thought were already taken care of. I was glad to do what I could. I love giving at Christmas time.

Do we believe that if we ask it will be given to us? Maybe it takes great faith to ask.

Comments:
That sounds like so much fun!

I do think it takes great faith to ask!

I struggle with believing that I will receive what I ask for. I know that God is able to do anything. I know that he loves me. I just don't know that he cares to give me what I think I want or need. I must accept that his ways are not my ways and he knows more about how this life should work than I do. He isn't my servant, I am his. He doesn't have to give me anything, but he does. I just don't know what or when until it happens!

I think I am often knocking at a wall instead of a door. I am glad it doesn't open for me.

Great faith and a pure heart are needed. I fall short in both.

Thanks, Donna!
